We Brits have a real love affair with Sunday lunch. Is it the idea of roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and gravy, or is it the idea of family getting together to eat a hearty lunch at the end of a busy week?
We think Sundays are important, and whilst we’ve always been open on Sundays offering our à la carte menu, only more recently we’ve started to offer a Sunday Lunch menu alongside to satisfy that need for a comforting hearty meal. Many people come to Arlingham and the surrounding area for the walks, both along the canal in Frampton and along the banks of the River Severn, where it is so peaceful. We tend to find it works up quite an appetite and Sunday lunch is the perfect remedy.
As you might have guessed, we couldn’t have come up with a set Sunday lunch menu without giving it our own twist. Each month our head chef comes up with a delicious and seasonal three course set menu, with our own take on a roast main course.
This month we have on offer:
Gruyere twice baked soufflé, Waldorf salad
Slow braised brisket, duck fat roast potatoes, honey glazed Picollo parsnips, Yorkshire pudding
Salted dark chocolate fondant, beetroot and ginger ice-cream
Coffee or tea and petits fours
All of the above is included in the set menu and costs £37.50pp (three courses, plus coffee and petits fours)
Please be aware that we still run our à la carte menu on Sunday Lunch times, and we also do bookable breakfast/brunch from 9am – 11am.

For our first wine and food pairing evening of 2019, we’re off to California, to discover the fantastic variety of wines that are produced in this sun-soaked ‘new world’ wine region.
You might be familiar with the typical robust reds from California, but as ever, our wine and food pairing evenings, will broaden your perceptions and introduce you to some lesser known grape varieties and wines from the region.
Our wine expert Frederik will take you through his personally chosen selection of red and white wines, and each wine will be accompanied by a small plate of food from our head chef to perfectly compliment the wine (or indeed for the wine to compliment the food).
In 2018 we built up local a following for these events, and regular guests say that these are fun, relaxed and informal events, but that they’ve come away learning so much, having tried wines they’d never have considered before.
Usually our wine and food pairing events are held on the first Wednesday of every month, however February is an exception as it will take place on Thursday, 7 February at 7pm. The evening costs £32.50pp, and you’ll need to call to book on 01452 740547
