Art Events

The atmosphere at The Old Passage is partially created by the artworks displayed on our walls. Exhibitions change twice during the year and all the artwork is for sale. Generously, the artists will donate a percentage of the sale price to the inshore lifeboats of Severn Area Rescue Association.

Our latest exhibition curated by Kel Portman will run until December 2019.  The collected works are entitled 'Open' and feature artwork submitted by over 26 artists. On show you'll see a variety of approaches, media and techniques; painting, photography, collage, jewellery and printmaking. The work creatively explores personal themes determined by the artists through objects and places, as well as real and imagined events.
Our eGallery will give you a flavour of what's on show, but you'll need to take a trip to Arlingham in person to see and enjoy all the work in context....and also to perhaps delight in a meal with a view.

Artist's Donation to SARA
Any sales of artist's work are greatly appreciated. Not just by the buyer and the artists, but also by the Severn Area Rescue Association who benefit by the artist giving a percentage of their sales proceeds to help fund their invaluable work on the River. Instead of charging commission on sales, the organisers are keen to promote the valuable work of the Severn Area Rescue Association and so artists are invited to contribute a percentage of their sales income to support this valuable local organisation.

Gifts and Things

We are NOT a shop. But we do seem to sell all sorts of unrelated things. Our water glasses are popular. Vicki Portman’s beautiful original jewellery – no, not jewels but just funky jewellery. You may take a fancy to a piece of our very special artwork, paintings or photographs, or even a CD about the 'Long Wave'

To be honest, our Gift Vouchers are the most popular way to indulge your friends or colleagues and give them a gastronomic treat (or part of it anyway).
The Old Passage gift voucher makes an ideal present and a unique way to say 'Happy Birthday', 'Merry Christmas'
– or just 'Thank You'!
Or just use the Gift Voucher to offer a super bottle of champagne or wine for friends who might be dining at the Old Passage. It makes gift giving very easy – and more importantly delicious.

We will be happy to post your voucher to you or to the lucky person you have bought it for together with your own message. Or simply collect from the Old Passage.
The vouchers are sold in units of £10.00, they may be used as part or full payment and are valid for twelve months.
Please note though that vouchers do not guarantee a booking.
